Bogotá has a cool and variable climate throughout the year. The average temperature is 14°C (57°F), but it’s recommended to bring rain gear and layers for the cold, as the weather can change quickly. The city has a lot to offer, from its historic area in La Candelaria to more modern and lively areas like Zona T or Usaquén. It boasts vibrant yet cultural atmospheres, with a mix of colonial and modern architecture.

Gold Museum


Home to the world’s largest collection of pre-Columbian gold artifacts, including the famous Muisca Raft and the Quimbaya Poporo. It is located in La Candelaria, next to Santander Park, and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Sundays until 5:00 p.m. (closed on Mondays).
